- Increase
the healing speed of soft tissue damage
- Optimize scar tissue remodeling
- Assist
in mental preparation for sport
- Exfoliation
and nourishment of the skin
- Relaxation
and reduction of stress levels
- Reduction
of adrenalin and blood pressure
- Reduce
muscle stiffness, pain and fatigue
- Increase
flexibility and range of movement
If you have an active lifestyle, exercise, play sports to keep fit, or compete then sports massage has something to offer you.
Swedish Massage is the classic type and probably what
you perceive a massage to be. Massages in this category employ three basic flowing strokes of
Effleurage, Petrissage and Tapotement. Effleurage is the light flowing strokes
that glide across the skin, Petrissage is slightly deeper and works on the
muscles, and Tapotement is a light chopping. This style of massage is prefect
for unwinding after a frantic week.
